Hiring: Senior Technical Lead Drainage & Utilities

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Technical Lead to join our Water, Drainage & Land Development team, delivering complex infrastructure projects across roads, rail, and urban development.

This role requires strong expertise in drainage design, hydraulic modelling, and multi-utility coordination, with exposure to UK standards and international project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end drainage design (stormwater & foul systems) across concept to detailed stages
• Perform and review hydraulic & drainage modelling using industry-standard tools
• Manage wet & dry utility coordination across infrastructure projects
• Ensure designs comply with UK/international standards (SuDS, DMRB, etc.)
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory authorities
• Support BIM/CAD coordination (Civil 3D and related platforms)
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical quality and delivery

Core Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• 8+ years of experience in drainage / water infrastructure projects
• Strong hands-on experience in:
• Drainage Design (roads, rail, infrastructure)
• Hydraulic / Drainage Modelling
• Utility Coordination (wet & dry utilities)
• Proficiency in tools such as:
• Civil 3D
• InfoDrainage / MicroDrainage / InfoWorks ICM / WS
• Experience working on stormwater and foul drainage systems
• Proven experience in design and modelling roles (not just coordination or planning)
