Role Name: Cabling Coordinator
Duration: 12 months renewable contract role
Location & Work Mode: TTC Industrial Area, Navi Mumbai.
*The candidate is expected to work remotely but must visit office or site at least once a week.
1. Project Coordination & Planning
- Coordinate all fiber and copper cabling requests for data centers and remote sites.
- Review cabling requirements, validate scope, and schedule work with internal teams and external vendors.
- Prioritize cabling tasks based on operational urgency and project timelines.
- Ensure cabling activities are aligned with Data Center Operations and Network teams schedules.
2. Execution Oversight
- Supervise cabling works to ensure compliance with standards (e.g., color coding, labeling, routing).
- Verify that cabling installations follow best practices for performance, airflow, and rack layout.
- Conduct on?site quality checks and validate that work is completed according to specifications.
3. Documentation & Inventory
- Maintain accurate cabling diagrams, patching records, and port utilization databases.
- Update documentation in designated systems (DCIM, CMDB, or internal tools).
- Track cable inventory (patch cords, panels, fiber trays, accessories) and initiate replenishment when needed.
4. Change Management
- Prepare and review CRQs related to cabling activities.
- Ensure all cabling work adheres to change management procedures and approval workflows.
- Provide risk assessments and back?out plans for cabling-related changes.
5. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with cabling vendors, ensuring SOW clarity, proper execution, and timely completion.
- Facilitate site access, escorting, and supervision as required.
- Communicate schedules, impacts, and status updates to internal stakeholders.
6. Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with corporate cabling standards, safety requirements, and local regulations.
- Maintain consistency in labeling conventions, cable routing, and patching methods.
Drive continuous improvement in cabling processes and quality.
