Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Bengaluru for a BIM Engineer / Modeller specializing in Mechanical systems. The BIM Engineer / Modeller will work closely with design and engineering teams to create and manage Building Information Models for mechanical systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing detailed construction drawings, collaborating on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) designs, and ensuring accuracy in architectural and civil engineering applications. The role also involves identifying and resolving design and coordination challenges within the projects.

Job Overview:

• Develop, model, and produce accurate and detailed mechanical system designs, layouts, and drawings using BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
• Create 3D models of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.) that align with project specifications and standards.
• Ensure all drawings meet project requirements, codes, and regulations.
• Work closely with mechanical engineers, architects, and other design professionals to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other building components.
• Participate in design review meetings and provide technical feedback on mechanical system designs.
• Coordinate with other BIM teams to ensure accurate information exchange and model synchronization.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all CAD and BIM models, including revisions, material specifications, and equipment lists.
• Produce and maintain accurate schedules, material take-offs, and reports based on BIM models.
• Perform regular checks and clash detection in the BIM models to ensure that designs are conflict-free.
• Maintain high standards for model quality, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.
• Utilize and stay updated on the latest BIM and CAD software and technology.
• Assist in the creation of as-built models and final documentation for project closeout.

Qualifications:

• 
  
• Education: A diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering or or a related field is preferred.
• Certification or training in BIM (Building Information Modeling) is an asset.
• Experience working on commercial, residential, or industrial projects preferred.
• Proficiency in BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks) and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with mechanical system design and related components (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.)
