Backend Tech Lead

Role Brief :

As a Technical Lead at Dailoqa, you will play a pivotal role in engineering robust, high-performance backend solutions that power Agentic AI transformation in financial services. This position combines hands-on technical leadership with a strong commitment to team development, best-in-class engineering practices, and collaborative problem solving. Prior experience with financial systems, data-heavy applications, or compliance-driven environments is a plus. Familiarity or demonstrated curiosity in GenAI/Agentic AI is welcome; we actively encourage learning and cross-skilling in emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of talented Python developers to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable backend services fueling Dailoqas Agentic AI platform and client solutions.
• Architect and own end-to-end design of Python services, APIs, and integrationsbalancing performance, security, and adaptability for evolving client needs.
• Define technical strategies, establish and enforce coding/development standards, and champion automation, testing, and CI/CD best practices across teams.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, and Industry Solution teams to translate business and user needs into actionable technical deliverables.
• Enable sustainable engineering velocity: conduct code and architecture reviews, promote code reuse, resolve roadblocks, and foster early issue discovery.
• Work closely with BFSI and platform engineering stakeholders to understand regulatory, security, and data privacy requirements, ensuring solutions are compliant and robust.
• Investigate and propose new technologies, frameworks, and patternsincluding GenAI and Agentic AIadopting them as appropriate to keep Dailoqas stack future-ready.
• Support Agile delivery: lead backlog refinement, t-shirt sizing, sprint planning, and delivery reporting. Drive accountability for milestones and deliverables within your team.
• Cultivate a learning-first, innovation-driven team culture that values technical curiosity, experimentation, and knowledge-sharing.

Required Technical Skills

• Proficient in Python and related libraries
• Deep knowledge of Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Expertise in developing RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party services.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong background in database and cache systems - SQL and NoSQL.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD, unit testing frameworks, and code versioning tools (Git).
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.

Team & Project Management

• Experience in mentoring and managing a team of developers.
• Ability to manage sprints, timelines, task assignments, and client communication.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a structured approach to debugging and root cause analysis.
• Strong documentation habits for APIs, deployment processes, and codebase architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7 years of hands-on experience in Python development, with at least 2+ years in a technical lead role.
• Strong grasp of design patterns and clean coding practices.
• Effective communicator with the ability to present solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
