Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune for an Automation Project Manager. The Automation Project Manager will oversee project execution while managing automation systems such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Key responsibilities include designing and implementing process automation systems, coordinating across teams to ensure timely project completion, managing resources effectively, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The role requires collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders to guarantee projects align with technical requirements and business goals.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Automation and Process Automation systems
• Proficiency in Project Management and planning for complex engineering projects
• Expertise in Electrical Engineering and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage resources efficiently
• Strong problem-solving skills and an aptitude for technical troubleshooting
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• Experience in the Pharmaceutical, Food Processing, or Chemical industries is preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech./Diploma(Instrumentation/Electrical)

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

1 Experience in Automation & Project-based companies

2 Knowledge of Food/Pharma/Powder handling equipment viz Conveying/Mixing/Blending/Filling system 500/25 kg bags etc

3 Expertise in costing & estimation of:

MCC (Single/Double Front, Non-Compartmental Panels)

APFC, VFD, PCC, Automation Panels (PLC, HMI, SCADA)

4 Hands-on with PLCs: Siemens S7-1200/1500, Allen Bradley, etc.

5 Develop & maintain tools/procedures for SCADA engineering & testing

6 Strong grasp of technical documentation & data interpretation

7 Must be proficient in AutoCAD Electrical

8 Support panel integration & guide technicians on-site

9 Willingness to travel for site visits, FAT & commissioning

Project execution in Food/Pharma/Chemical industry for medium to large projects
