Automation Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer to design and implement end-to-end test automation for web-based applications and enterprise products.

The role involves building scalable automation frameworks, ensuring quality across UI, API, and backend services, and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with development and product teams to ensure stable and high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation & Framework Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks.
• Build and enhance automated test suites for web applications and APIs.
• Define and follow automation best practices and testing standards.

UI & API Testing

• Develop automated UI test cases using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Build API automation suites to validate backend services and workflows.
• Ensure complete coverage of functional, regression, and integration scenarios.

Performance Testing

• Perform load and performance testing using tools like JMeter, k6, or similar tools.
• Identify system bottlenecks and provide actionable insights to development teams.
• Validate application stability under expected and peak loads.

CI/CD Integration

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
• Ensure continuous execution of test cases during build and deployment cycles.
• Maintain test reports and execution results for visibility.

Quality Ownership

• Define test strategies, test cases, and automation coverage for features.
• Perform root cause analysis of failures and coordinate with developers for resolution.
• Improve test stability, coverage, and execution efficiency.

Collaboration

• Work closely with developers, QA, and product teams in Agile environments.
• Participate in discussions to improve product quality and release processes.
• Contribute to improving QA standards and automation practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 25 years of experience in automation testing (UI, API, backend validation).
• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript / TypeScript or PHP-based automation.
• Experience with UI automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Strong understanding of API testing and REST services validation.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Good knowledge of SQL and database validation techniques.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or k6.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development lifecycle.
• Experience with Git version control.

Good to Have

• Experience in testing complex business workflows.
• Knowledge of test reporting tools like Allure or Extent Reports.
• Basic understanding of security testing concepts (OWASP Top 10).
• Experience with mocking or service virtualization techniques.
