Autocad Drafter

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled AutoCAD Draftsman with hands-on experience in machine building / industrial machinery / SPM, with strong expertise in AutoCAD for preparing high-quality engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for machine components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies
• Develop GA (General Arrangement), fabrication, and assembly drawings with high accuracy
• Create part drawings and detailed fabrication drawings for machined and fabricated components
• Generate and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) in coordination with design and ERP (SAP preferred)
• Collaborate closely with design, production, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant manufacturing standards, tolerances, and specifications
• Revise and update drawings based on internal reviews, engineering changes, and customer feedback
• Work on drawings related to hydraulic and mechanical presses, machine tools, and special purpose machines (SPM)
• Prepare drawings for fabricated and machined components, ensuring accuracy and completeness

Required Skills

• Very strong command on AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Expertise in: Machine Building / SPM , Industrial Machinery / Equipment , Fabrication & Assembly Drawings
• Dimensional & Geometrical Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Machining symbols and surface finish indications
• Fits and tolerances (limits, allowances, ISO system)
• Welding symbols (as per standards)
• SAP knowledge will be an added advantage (BOM handling / drawing integration)

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in machinery manufacturing companies only

Strictly looking for candidates from machinery manufacturing background. Profiles from PED (Pressure Vessel, Boiler, Heat Exchanger, Static Equipment, Oil & Gas EPC) backgrounds will not be considered.
