About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on HR professional for the role of Assistant Manager HR at our Haridwar factory. This is a complete HR Generalist role requiring exposure across talent acquisition, employee engagement, statutory compliance, payroll coordination, performance management, training, and HR operations within a manufacturing setup.
The ideal candidate should have strong factory HR exposure, good understanding of labour laws, and the ability to manage day-to-day HR operations while partnering closely with business and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Generalist Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end HR operations for the factory unit.
- Partner with business and functional teams on manpower planning and employee lifecycle management.
- Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and HRMIS data.
- Support implementation of HR policies and processes across the factory.
Talent Acquisition
- Handle recruitment for factory and support roles.
- Coordinate sourcing, screening, interviews, onboarding, and joining formalities.
- Ensure timely closures against manpower requirements.
Labour Laws & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to labour laws, statutory compliances, and factory regulations.
- Maintain statutory records and coordinate audits/inspections.
Attendance & Payroll Coordination
- Monitor attendance, leave records, shift schedules, and manpower data.
- Coordinate payroll inputs and support salary processing activities.
- Resolve employee queries related to attendance, leave, and payroll.
Training & Development
- Coordinate employee induction and training programs.
- Identify learning needs and maintain training records and trackers.
- Support capability-building initiatives across teams.
Performance Management
- Support execution of PMS cycles including goal setting, reviews, and appraisals.
- Coordinate with managers for performance feedback and documentation.
Employee Engagement & Employee Relations
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and welfare activities.
- Support grievance handling and employee communication.
- Build a positive employee culture and maintain healthy employee relations at the factory.
HRMS & Reporting
- Ensure accurate maintenance of HRMS and employee database.
- Prepare HR MIS reports, dashboards, and analytics as required.
Desired Candidate Profile
- MBA/PGDM in HR or related field.
- 49 years of experience in HR Generalist role within a manufacturing/factory setup.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience in recruitment, payroll coordination, engagement, and HR operations.
- Exposure to factory environment is mandatory.
- Good communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
