Key Responsibilities

Advanced Support & Escalations

• Act as the final escalation point for critical ZIA, ZPA, and ZDX incidents.
• Perform deep packet inspection, traffic flow analysis, and complex RCA.
• Lead resolutions for: 

• Network latency and performance issues

• Application access failures

• Global user experience degradation

• Interface directly with Zscaler Engineering and TAC for advanced cases.

Security Architecture & Zero Trust

• Design and implement Zero Trust Architecture using ZPA: 

• Application segmentation

• Least-privilege access

• Connector placement strategy

• Architect and manage: 

• SSL inspection at scale

• Advanced DLP and CASB strategies

• Lead migration initiatives: 

• Legacy VPN to ZPA

• On-prem firewalls to ZIA FWaaS

Automation & Optimization

• Design and implement automation using: 

• Zscaler APIs

• Python or Bash scripting

• Automate: 

• Policy provisioning

• Reporting and analytics

• User and application onboarding

• Drive performance and scalability improvements across environments.

Infrastructure & Cloud Integration

• Architect and manage: 

• ZPA App Connector deployment (HA, scalability, cloud/on-prem)

• ZCC rollout strategies across OS platforms

• Lead securi ty integration across: 

• AWS, Azure, GCP

• Provide design inputs for hybrid and multi-cloud security models.

Leadership & Mentorship

• Mentor and guide L2/L2.5 engineers.
• Review designs, policies, and troubleshooting approaches.
• Participate in security roadmap planning and leadership discussions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7–10 years in network and security engineering
• 4–6+ years of deep expertise in ZIA, ZPA, and ZDX
• Expert-level knowledge of: 

• TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S

• SSL/TLS inspection and PKI

• Authentication protocols (SAML, SCIM, OAuth)

• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python preferred)
• Proven experience with: 

• Firewall migrations

• Cloud security architectures

• Zscaler Certified Professional (ZCP) or higher – Strongly Preferred
