Actuarial Analyst

We are urgently seeking a detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to support pricing, risk assessment, and product development for our US home insurance portfolio. This role requires leveraging data-driven insights to drive strategic decisions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements to strengthen market position and product performance.

• Develop and maintain pricing models for US home insurance products.
• Analyze large datasets to identify loss trends, risk patterns, and emerging exposures.
• Support reserving activities including loss development analysis and financial adequacy checks.
• Assist in regulatory rate filings and documentation as per state insurance requirements.
• Collaborate with product, underwriting, finance, and catastrophe modeling teams.
• Contribute to predictive modeling initiatives using statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Build automated actuarial tools, dashboards, and reports for internal stakeholders.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in actuarial models and pricing assumptions.
• Prepare and present actuarial findings to management and non-technical stakeholders.
• Conduct competitor analysis to ensure pricing and products remain competitive.
• Track key performance metrics such as loss ratios, combined ratios, and retention rates.
• Support actuarial studies related to capital adequacy, solvency, and enterprise risk management.
• Explore advanced predictive analytics tools to refine underwriting and claims forecasting.
• Recommend improvements to actuarial processes, models, and data pipelines.
• Participate in actuarial exam programs, industry conferences, and training sessions.

• Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or related field.
• 12 years of actuarial or insurance analytics experience preferred; internship (minimum 6 months) considered for entry-level roles
• Progress toward actuarial exams (ASA/ACAS preferred) with company-provided study support.
• Proficiency in actuarial software tools (SAS, R, Python, SQL, Excel).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of US insurance regulations and GAAP practices.
