About the Job

The Accounting Associate will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of Pivots operations. This role focuses on the day-to-day execution of financial transactions, statutory compliance (GST/TDS), and meticulous record-keeping to support our mission of operational excellence.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Transaction Management (Tally): Execute full-cycle booking in Tally, including expenses, purchases, sales, and asset purchases. Ensure all entries are accurate and categorized correctly.
  • Statutory Compliance: Handle GST data compilation and the timely filing of returns. Manage TDS computations and ensure all monthly and quarterly filings are completed accurately.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Track accounts receivable ledgers, reconcile customer deductions, and manage accounts payable by filing invoices and maintaining detailed balance sheets.
  • Banking & Cash Management: Manage daily banking activities, including bank reconciliations and fund transfers. Oversee the maintenance of physical vouchers and the petty cash system.
  • Audit Support: Act as the primary point of contact for liaising with Chartered Accountants (CAs) to provide necessary documentation and insights for annual or periodic audits.
  • Reporting & Controls: Prepare month-end reconciliation reports (transaction, budget, and expense) and maintain robust financial filing systems to streamline internal audits and controls.
  • Asset Protection: Enforce internal workflows and controls to maximize the protection of company assets and adhere to national accounting standards.
  • US Office Support: Provide dedicated accounting support to the US office, including managing cross-border transaction documentation, coordinating on global payables/receivables, and ensuring financial data alignment between regions.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Experience: 35 years of professional accounting experience (Associate level).
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced hands-on experience using Tally is mandatory.
  • Taxation Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of GST and TDS regulations, data compilation, and filing processes.
  • Banking: Proven experience in managing day-to-day banking activities and reconciliations.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Detail Oriented: Exceptional accuracy in data entry, record keeping, and voucher maintenance.
  • Software: Competency in MS Office (specifically Excel for data analysis) and accounting databases.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for effective liasing with CAs, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Adaptability: An eagerness to learn and evolve alongside Pivots innovative supply chain and production workflows.
