What you'll do...
Role summary:As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the delivery of scalable software solutions by managing feature implementation, testing, and ongoing support within collaborative teams. This role requires expertise in multiple programming languages and a strong focus on software lifecycle execution, including CI/CD and automated testing. You will integrate AI/ML components to enhance system intelligence and contribute to technical design and code quality. By partnering with cross-functional teams, you will ensure solutions meet business objectives while driving continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence across Walmart’s technology platforms.
About the team:
The CCM team manages a critical tier0 platform supporting configuration management for over 10,000 applications across Walmart. As part of the Global Tech Platform – Runtime Platform organization, the team enables dynamic configuration changes without application restarts, supporting key operational workflows like Disaster Recovery and holiday readiness. CCM also drives feature flagging and experimentation across cloud and data center environments with a rapid 1-minute propagation SLA. Serving both application developers and business users, the team focuses on delivering reliable, scalable solutions that enhance operational agility and optimize experiences for Walmart customers and associates.
What you'll do:
- Own scoped feature and model delivery through collaboration with engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support.
- Write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
- Integrate AI/ML components and leverage generative AI tools to enhance software capabilities.
- Assist in solution design by converting high-level concepts into scalable and maintainable software systems.
- Conduct code reviews and defect management to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and measurable outcomes.
- Monitor application performance and maintain system reliability through proactive DevOps practices.
- Mentor peers and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.
- Strong technical acumen with experience in code review, debugging, and continuous development.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver scoped features or models through collaborative engineering teams.
- Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance software solutions.
- Proficiency in software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
- Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software aligned with platform objectives.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
