Solventum is seeking a Systems Control Technician to join our team in Columbia MO!

  • Shift: 1st Shift (7:30am - 3:30pm; Monday - Friday)

  • Pay: $42.16/hour

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Systems Control Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Supporting production and facility operations through machine control, troubleshooting, and system improvements to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

  • Maintaining technical expertise across plant equipment, including manual, automated, and facility systems.

  • Designing and implementing equipment modifications, providing input on mechanical designs and performance improvements.

  • Leading and supporting maintenance teams in troubleshooting, repair, and upkeep of production and facility equipment.

  • Partnering with production, maintenance, engineering, and contractors to resolve issues and improve operational performance.

  • Maintaining schematics, calibrate equipment and instrumentation, and train plant personnel on system and equipment changes.

  • Possessing the ability to clearly speak, understand, and write in English to communicate effectively in both verbal and written contexts.

 

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications

  • Possess or in the last six (6) months of pursuing a two (2) or four (4) year technical degree in a maintenance, electrical, electronic, or mechanical field.

OR

  • Five (5) years of experience working in a maintenance, electrical, electronic, or mechanical field.

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed

  • Ability to work 1st Shift (7:30am - 3:30pm; Monday - Friday)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience working with Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Analog and digital AC/DC drive systems, Pneumatic/hydraulic systems and/or Calibrations/metrology

  • Experience working with the following electrical diagrams: PLC logic, process flow diagrams, instrument flow diagrams and/or P&ID drawings

  • Experience working with electrical tools, test equipment and instruments used in industrial plant applications

  • Demonstrated skills in accurately estimating small projects with minimal guidance.

  • Previous experience working as, for or with a System Technician, PE Technologist or Engineer on equipment enhancements.
