Hitachi Energy is looking for a creative and detail‑oriented Mechanical R&D Professional to join the Liquid‑Filled Distribution Transformers team. This is an opportunity to contribute to next‑generation transformer technologies—enhancing reliability, sustainability, manufacturability, and cost performance.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Contribute to mechanical design concepts for R&D transformer projects
- Support development aligned with performance, cost, and quality goals
- Coordinate prototype manufacturing, assembly, and testing
- Perform and validate mechanical calculations and simulations
- Define and execute design verification tests
- Document progress, standards, and technical learnings
- Collaborate with global teams to optimize design solutions
- Provide technical support across development and industrialization phases
Your Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design or engineering environments
- Knowledge of materials, structures, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with CAD tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, or CATIA
- Understanding of design for manufacturability and tolerance analysis
- Strong analytical mindset and collaborative communication skills
