We don't just talk about progress and innovation here – we make it happen, with our customers, where we work and live. Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.

As a Procurement Analyst, you will support the Light Fabrications Category Buyer and the broader Resource Industries Supply Management team by enabling efficient purchasing operations. • Analyze and maintain procurement processes to drive quality, efficiency, and consistency across assigned areas of responsibility.

  • Develop and support improvement initiatives aligned to QCLDM (Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, and Management) metrics such as response time, lean targets, and operational performance.

  • Provide pricing and supplier insights to support internal customers and proposal efforts.

  • Perform analytical and administrative work in support of strategic procurement initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Build subject‑matter knowledge in assigned processes and systems, contributing to operational excellence and buyer effectiveness.

Why This Role Matters

  • Opportunity to learn and support supplier negotiations and commercial decision‑making.

  • Develop experience with core procurement systems and tools, including LOGNET.

  • Collaborate with global suppliers and cross‑functional teams that support Caterpillar’s worldwide operations.

What You’ll Bring

  • Effective Communication: Ability to clearly exchange information with buyers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders through strong written and verbal communication.

  • Procurement Knowledge: Foundational understanding of purchasing and supply management principles, tools, and organizational practices.

  • Procurement Systems Experience: Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., LOGNET) and the ability to learn and apply system functionality to daily work.

  • Purchasing Processes: Knowledge of purchasing policies, procedures, and compliance requirements related to procuring materials, components, equipment, and services.
