What You Will Do
Expeditors are essential to our sourcing operations, working in an office‑based environment to ensure products reach our vessels within limited port times. Their effectiveness depends on strong coordination with partners both shoreside and onboard. With prompt responses, clear communication, and strong time‑management skills, Expeditors coordinate the delivery of items while minimizing cost and reducing impact on Guests and sailings. They also contribute as collaborative team members on initiatives that enhance departmental efficiency and overall operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide order support and tracking for DCL Vessels
- Coordinate post-purchase order activity to support on-time delivery to vessel
- Interact successfully with global suppliers to define lead and delivery times
- Provide tracking of supplier performance, providing qualitative feedback to business partners to ensure continuous supplier success
- Provide timely communication to all stakeholders
- Support all departmental initiatives
- Create and deliver compelling quantitative analyses and is solution-focused
- Foster a collaborative environment among stakeholders (fleet, shoreside, warehouse, logistics, payables, and sourcing teams; etc.)
- Create and share efficiencies and best practices, ensuring evolution of department and team as DCL fleet expands
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 1+ years of sourcing, logistics and expediting experience
- Outstanding communication (both oral and written)
- Ability to perform detailed quantitative analysis in MS Excel
- Keeps commitments and understands how to prioritize work with urgency
- Interacts well with people who have different cultures, backgrounds and work styles (Invites diverse points of view)
Preferred Qualifications:
- AMOS- platform experience
- Experience with Coupa and other RFX tools
- Experience with SAP or other ERP
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or similar experience is required
