Job Description
We are looking for a dependable HVAC Technician I to join our team. In this role, you will help keep our buildings safe, comfortable, and operating efficiently. You’ll work across multiple locations, support day‑to‑day HVAC operations, and have opportunities to grow your skills and career. This posiiton is eligable for a sign-on bonus: $1,500
Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Monitor system performance using building automation systems (BAS/BMS) and make adjustments as needed.
- Partner with BMS technicians to troubleshoot and correct system settings.
- Support the Chief or Supervisor with overseeing subcontractors when required.
- Review work orders and estimate labor, time, and materials needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment operating efficiently.
- Respond to emergency service calls and escalate issues when necessary.
- Complete and maintain accurate repair and maintenance documentation.
- Perform general building maintenance such as basic painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
- Respond to internal service calls and work tickets from the operations team.
- Communicate clearly with team members and internal customers.
- Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
- Assist with training and mentoring other team members as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Universal CFC Certification required.
- At least 1 year of HVAC experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Refrigeration experience required.
- Must complete OSHA 10 certification within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and technical documents.
- Strong commitment to safety and protecting self and others.
Physical & Technical Requirements
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PDF).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more and climb stairs and ladders.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (flexible start and end times)
- On-call rotation as needed

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 31 - 52 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
