PATH is recruiting for a Business Development (BD) Associate. The BD Associate will support BD activities, including positioning, proposal development, and submission and will report to the BD Director. The BD team supports PATH’s global and country programs to pursue funding opportunities from governments, multilateral organizations, foundations, and corporations.

 

Responsibilities:

 

BD operations and knowledge management (60%) 

 

  • Manage opportunity and submission operations: track and send out funding alerts; complete donor portal submissions; and monitor and manage donor communication.  

  • Serve as a BD team proofreader. 

  • Process partnership agreements with Legal. 

  • Support Corporate Contributions Review process. 

  • Maintain SharePoint and Box structures. 

  • Support Salesforce data analytics. 

  • Ensure PATH registration is current with all donors. 

  • Schedule onboarding sessions and gather reference materials for new BD staff. 

  • Update PD Systems and Processes Guide as needed. 

 

Positioning and proposal support (40%) 

 

  • Research potential donors and partners for positioning and proposal development. 

  • Prepare materials for partner and donor outreach during positioning and proposal development.  

  • Support developing technical proposals and annexes including CVs, letters of commitment, letters of support, capability statements, past performance references, and organizational charts. 

  • Coordinate with global and country proposal teams, shared services, and consortium partners. 

  • Participate in proposal quality assurance reviews. 

  • Coordinate proofreading, reviews, and approvals of proposal documents. 

  • Support compiling completed documents and assembling proposal for donor submission.   

  • Submit proposals to donors via email or portals in accordance with BD’s proposal submission process. 

Required Skills and Experience:

 

  • At least two years of relevant experience in an office setting. 

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and outstanding attention to detail. 

  • Strong skills in writing, editing, proofreading, and formatting. 

  • Demonstrated success managing multiple activities, deadlines, and priorities. 

  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required; SharePoint, Salesforce, and Adobe experience a plus. 

  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills who is able to work in a team environment across multiple sites. 

  • Experience in an international organization or in a multicultural environment a plus.  

  • Flexibility to work across multiple time zones. 

  • Able to travel up to 10%.

For U.S. Based Candidates 

We offer our employees a competitive salary and generous benefits. For candidates based in the U.S., the annual salary range for this position is $59,200 - $74,000. The final salary is based on a variety of objective factors.

Hybrid Work 

PATH operates within a hybrid workplace model unless otherwise noted. Hybrid employees must reside within commuting distance of one of our PATH offices. PATH’s US offices are located in Seattle, WA, and Washington, DC.
