Tax Specialist, VAT/GST, VAT Compliance

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparation and submission of VAT/GST returns on a global level.
• Preparation and submission of Intrastat reports and EC Sales/Purchase Listings for the EU.
• Preparation and submission of 8th /13 Directive claims and other VAT/GST Compliance-related matters on an ad hoc basis.
• Pulling systems generated exception reports and assisting in analyzing the output of these.
• Reconciliation of tax returns/accounts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors in Commerce (B.COM/M.COM).
• Masters in Business Administration (MBA in Finance/ PGDBA in Finance)
• Qualified CA/ICWA would be preferred
• 4 – 7 yrs of experience preferably in International / National VAT

Skills:

To perform the job successfully, the candidate should have a basic understanding of VAT/GST on an international level and excellent analytical & problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail, ability to meet strict reporting deadlines, and ability to own a task and follow through to successful completion are a must. Previous in-house experience with ERP systems or VAT/GST work experience is a plus. Knowledge of basic accounting and reconciliation concepts, and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research are also required.

Certificates and Licenses:

CA/ICWA certificate (at least CA/ICWA-Inter is preferred), diploma certificates on International Tax subjects would be preferred
