Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end testing on applications and technology, to ensure that business, technical, functional requirements are being met throughout the SDLC process.
• Design and execute test scripts based upon test strategy/plans to identify defects prior to production.
• Construct test scenarios, cases, and scripts, ensuring that requirement coverage is adequate and business requirements, functional specifications and designs are linked to test artifacts
• Develop and maintain quality automation code and work towards automating non-test related QA functions.
• Build reusable test frameworks; refactor and extend test automation frameworks and suites, as needed.
• Maintain automated regression suites/packages to be compliant with changing requirements and features
• Create defect for identified issues and participate in the defects triage meeting. Tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
• Troubleshoot system failures and narrow down root causes independently or with the help of developers or operation engineers.
• Participate in requirement and design review meetings to stay informed of potential impact to testing cases.
• Provide testing estimates to the senior team members for review and submission and provides input to the delivery schedule.
• Communicate overall status of testing activities to leaders and project team members.
• Escalate issues to Project Manager and Quality Assurance Manager as needed in a clear, concise, and timely manner. Consistently identify solutions to issues.
• Participate in the development and implementation of structured testing concepts, methodologies, and automated testing and support tools.
• Contribute ideas and effort toward continuous improvement and Quality enablement
• Communicate overall status of testing activities to Leadership and project team members.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in software testing and quality assurance with a distinguished track record in testing complex software systems.
• A minimum of 4-7 years of experience in Python Scripts and extensive working experience in writing and executing complex SQL queries.
• A minimum of 2+ years of experience in Automation Testing using Python (preferred language), Java.
• Basic knowledge of any cloud platform (AWS), grid computing, monitoring, and management service (CloudWatch)
• Competent in all types of testing (functional, regression, and integration).
• Capability to work with a multi-functional team of business owners, developers, business analysts, and quality assurance professionals.
• Knowledge of quality management tools such as Jira/X-Ray.
• Knowledge of Web-based corporate confluence
• Understanding of the QA process/SDLC in waterfall, continuous delivery, and Agile environments is required.
• Strong organizational skills: the ability to complete multiple tasks under time constraints and competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (ability to communicate effectively with technical staff, business analysts, management, and business team members)
• Work independently (full SDLC) with minimal supervision in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) environments
• AWS Cloud certification
• Knowledge of UNIX/LINUX shell scripting
