Mobile Performance tester

Job description:

1. Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is often required. Some companies may consider candidates with equivalent work experience or relevant certifications.
2. Performance Testing Experience: Prior experience in performance testing is essential, preferably with a focus on mobile applications. Candidates should have a strong understanding of performance testing concepts, methodologies, and tools.
3. Mobile Application Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of mobile platforms (iOS, Android) and their specific performance considerations is necessary. Familiarity with different devices, screen sizes, and OS versions is important.
4. Performance Testing Tools: Proficiency in using performance testing tools specific to mobile applications, such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or NeoLoad. Experience with mobile-specific performance testing tools like BlazeMeter or Xamarin Test Cloud is a plus.
5. Scripting Skills: Ability to write and modify performance test scripts for mobile applications using appropriate programming languages, such as Java, Kotlin, Swift, or JavaScript.
6. Network Protocols: Understanding of mobile network protocols (e.g., HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP) and their impact on mobile application performance.
7. Cloud and Virtualization: Familiarity with cloud-based performance testing solutions and virtualization technologies for simulating different user scenarios and load testing.
8. Performance Analysis: Strong analytical skills to interpret performance test results, identify performance bottlenecks, and suggest improvements for mobile applications.
9. Test Strategy and Planning: Ability to develop test strategies, plan performance test execution, and collaborate with development and testing teams to ensure the performance requirements are met.
10. Communication Skills: Good communication skills are essential for reporting test results, discussing performance issues with the development team, and collaborating with stakeholders.
