Job Overview:
The Business Analyst at Swiggy plays a crucial role in analyzing business processes, understanding user requirements, and transforming them into functional and technical specifications. This position requires a deep understanding of the food delivery industry, data analysis skills, and the ability to effectively communicate insights to key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyze and document detailed business requirements and create functional specifications for new features and enhancements in the Swiggy platform.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and designers, to ensure successful delivery of projects and initiatives.
3. Conduct research and perform data analysis on the food delivery industry, market trends, customer behavior, and competitor analysis to identify key insights and propose data-driven recommendations for business improvements.
4. Gather and validate user requirements through interviews, workshops, and other data collection techniques to ensure accurate understanding of business needs.
5. Develop and maintain business process models, use cases, and user stories to represent and communicate business requirements effectively.
6. Collaborate with data scientists and data engineers to develop and maintain data models, analyze large datasets, and generate actionable insights.
7. Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure the delivered solutions meet the defined requirements.
8. Continuously monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and business processes to identify areas for improvement.
9. Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders, including senior management, to communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates.
10. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to food delivery, e-commerce, and digital platforms.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
2. Proven work experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in the food delivery or e-commerce industry.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical solutions.
4. Proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools, such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
6. Knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
7. Experience in conducting user research, requirements gathering, and validation techniques.
8. Familiarity with business process modeling techniques and tools.
9. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
10. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
11. Knowledge of the food delivery industry, market trends, and customer behavior will be considered a plus.
