Technical Lead Quality Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Work with IRG Retirement Research Leadership team to develop and implement a robust end-to-end testing plan for the service.
• Conduct monthly regression testing and documentation.
• Develop and execute testing plans for periodic releases.
• Develop user acceptance test plan for APRI capabilities.
• Contribute to implementation planning and post-implementation tracking
• Execute test plans and test cases on a scheduled and ad hoc basis
• Provide effective communication on test plan status, risks, and defects.
• Develop subject matter expertise in specific areas of the engine to implement robust stress testing of specific capabilities in the engine.
• Effectively communicate, secure inputs and approvals from IRG Retirement Research team for testing plan, use cases and data files.
• Develop subject matter expertise with regards to testing specific complex areas of the income modeling engine
• Create and organize research data test files at the direction of the IRG capabilities team.
• Perform occasional ad hoc tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Preferably bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
• 5-7 years of experience in financial services creating, maintaining, and executing testing strategies for large, complicated Web/Standalone applications preferably in financial planning tools.
• Hands-on experience in creating test strategies, test case development, test effort estimation and testing techniques including functional, regression, sanity/smoke, batch, and system testing.
• Desirable hands-on expertise on framework development and enhancements for web and service automation testing.
• Proven ability to successfully identify and cover client/business needs into stress testing approaches.
• Self-starter and can work independently in a matrixed organization.
• Can plan and lead work efforts as needed.
• Great communication skills: both written and verbal and experience creating detailed methodology documentation.
• Candidate must have proven project management/business systems analyst skills, with project methodology and project lifecycle experience.
• Candidate must be skilled at understanding and organizing a large amount of information and data and communicating confidently and succinctly to a large and diverse audience.
• They must have proven skills finding linkages through gap analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good Understanding on API functional Testing with any of tools (Rest API, API Automation, Postman, Swagger).
• Candidate would have experience with projects that are fast paced, and timeline driven.
• Experience in application development in AWS Cloud is desirable
