Job Description
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
l Administration and management of PostgreSQL databases
l Performance tuning and optimization of databases
l Replication and clustering setup and maintenance
l Participate & working in restore, patching activities, Backup and recovery of databases
l & Backup Reporting.
l Security management, including user management and data encryption.
l Monitor and troubleshoot database issues.
l Plan and implement database upgrades and patches.
l Manage and Optimize PostgreSQL databases in RDS and Aurora
l Automate tasks using Shell script or Python
l On-Call support for critical incidents
DESIRED CANDIDATES:
l Experience with Cloud databases like AWS RDS,Aurora Azure Database for PostgreSQL
l Worked on Postgres tools such as PGadmin IV, pgbench, pgpool etc
l Worked on utilities like pgdump, pgdump_all, pgrestore, pgarchivecleanup, pgconfig
l Good knowledge on Architecture
l Should understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures and Knowledge base articles
l Scripting Knowledge and Automation skills
l Strong verbal and written communications skills are desirable
