Specialist - Software Engineering

Job description:

1) Minimum of 10-15 years of software development experience, out of which 8 years as a Full-stack developer

2) Experienced in conducting development activities using stringent source code control procedures.

3) Experienced in developing estimates for design, development, and unit testing of application functionality for the assignment.

• Technical Skillset required –

o Strong experience with UI technologies like HTML5, Angular

o Strong knowledge of Java technologies like Spring, Spring boot, Spring Microservices, Spring JPA

o Experienced in JSON and RESTAPIs

o Full stack development experience with polyglot solutions; specially Java, Groovy, and Kafka.

o Knowledge of Integration and unit test and Behaviour Driven Development

o Strong integration design and development experience

o Need to have good debugging and problem-solving skills.

o Should have a good understanding of Framework and Design Patterns and be able to understand complex

Architectural aspects.

o Experience integrating third-party applications

o Agile development experience

• Good communication skills both written and verbal

Roles and Responsibilities:

1) Understand the requirement through different sources of information/documents available to the team.

2) Assist Architect(s) in designing activities and estimating the work required.

3) Learning the best practices and the methodology used in the program and adhering to the standards.

4) Coding and Unit Testing of the code written as per the program standards and guidelines.

5) Adhere to the processes followed for development in the program.

6) Mentor/train existing and new team members.

7) Identify and collaborate with all necessary stakeholders too to come to terms or agreements to reach defined project goals with little to no assistance.

8) Track progress against assigned tasks, report status, and proactively identify issues to the Product Owners, architects,s and management team.

9) Work successfully in a team environment and demonstrate a willingness to help team members in achieving their project goals if required.

10) Personal ownership and accountability for delivering assigned tasks and deliverables within the established schedule.

11) Must have good written and verbal communication skills.

12) Must have experience in the retail banking domain. Experience with Fiserv Signature International will be a plus.

13) Report to the Project Manager on the status and progress of work and be accountable for the timely completion with quality.
