Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end ownership of features, from evangelizing to the implementation of the feature and its support.
- Developing code for implementing features and enhancement to the product according to company standards and quality processes.
- Debugging and identifying field issues.
- Actively looking out for ways to optimize software delivery processes: code reviews, CICD pipeline etc.
- Driving intra-team collaboration and continual improvement.
- Writing unit tests and reviews unit tests of others.
- Creating a test strategy that includes all quadrants of the Agile Testing Quadrant for all development work including bug fixes.
Must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
- 4-6 years of professional experience in design, development, and performance tuning of distributed server-side software applications.
- 3+ years of Python programming experience using multi-threading. Experience in developing web services with Python.
- 3+ years of experience in SQL (MySQL preferred), MongoDB/AWS DocumentDB, Elasticsearch
- 2+ years of Linux (Ubuntu preferred) Bash shell scripting and high concurrency performance tuning and trouble shooting.
- 2+ years of experience in RabbitMQ/Kafka/Kinesis (some streaming/queuing technology), Hadoop/EMR/Spark (some stream/batch processing framework).
- Familiarity with Rsyslog/Syslog-ng.
Good to have:
AWS cloud services (S3, EMR, Kinesis, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD experience in Jenkins and/or GitLab pipelines experience preferred.
