Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Contributes to verification, validation, and best-practice activities.
• Coordinates short- and long-term project validation activities requiring extensive analysis. in areas related to Turbomachinery and others. Acts as a technical reference within a group of peers.
• Coordinates and communicates with other groups and teams working in a multi-functional environment.
• Develops and employs best practices and maintains them through technical reviews and mentoring.
• Performs regular presentations to technical staff on project progress.
• May work with strategic customers or proxies to assess needs and develop solutions.
• Operates without direct supervision and may function as a team leader or project manager on specific projects.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

• Masters Degree in Computer Science or a relevant Engineering discipline, with CFD application.
• Industrial experience working with CFD software.
• Experience of Turbomachinery simulation.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Masters Degree/PhD in CFD application in Turbomachinery.
• Technical knowledge of Ansys Turbo tools, Ansys CFX or Ansys Fluent for Turbomachinery applications.
• Industrial experience with a power generation company or designing/simulating turbomachinery applications.
• Experience of leading projects and delivering competed outcomes to internal staff and customers.
• Ability to overcome obstacles and drive projects to completion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and geographies, and to mentor junior developers.
