Job Description
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Contributes to verification, validation, and best-practice activities.
- Coordinates short- and long-term project validation activities requiring extensive analysis. in areas related to Turbomachinery and others. Acts as a technical reference within a group of peers.
- Coordinates and communicates with other groups and teams working in a multi-functional environment.
- Develops and employs best practices and maintains them through technical reviews and mentoring.
- Performs regular presentations to technical staff on project progress.
- May work with strategic customers or proxies to assess needs and develop solutions.
- Operates without direct supervision and may function as a team leader or project manager on specific projects.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
- Masters Degree in Computer Science or a relevant Engineering discipline, with CFD application.
- Industrial experience working with CFD software.
- Experience of Turbomachinery simulation.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Masters Degree/PhD in CFD application in Turbomachinery.
- Technical knowledge of Ansys Turbo tools, Ansys CFX or Ansys Fluent for Turbomachinery applications.
- Industrial experience with a power generation company or designing/simulating turbomachinery applications.
- Experience of leading projects and delivering competed outcomes to internal staff and customers.
- Ability to overcome obstacles and drive projects to completion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and geographies, and to mentor junior developers.
