Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Leads multiple project teams of other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of development across multiple engineering disciplines for complex products, platforms, systems, software, and technology solutions.
- Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on engineering design and development.
- Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality.
- Provides domain-specific expertise and overall engineering leadership and perspective to cross- organization projects, programs, and activities
- Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the engineering design organization.
- Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members
What you need to bring:
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Typically 8-15 years experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Design, test and/or commissioning of wired communication systems with involvement in the complete design lifecycle
- Knowledge of VLANs, QOS, trunking, RSTP, PVSTP+, ACLs, SNMP, VRRP
- Working knowledge of 802.11a/b/g/n/ac radios
- Good knowledge on the routing concepts and protocols like OSPF & BGP
- Knowledge of ITSM applications such as service NOW/Remedy
- Good working or theoretical knowledge of Ethernet, Industrial Ethernet
- Knowledge of general wireless concepts like SNR, tx rate, rx rate, radio management
- Live scenario troubleshooting (such as latency issues, application slowness etc)
- Design experience with Aruba SDWAN, AOS-CX switches is a plus
- Knowledge of Aruba Airwave and Central is a plus
- Knowledge of network wireless survey and use of Ekahau tool is a plus
- Good communication skills – written & Oral
- Work with frequently occurring incidents in the customer premises to resolve the issue
