What you will do:

• Be responsible for building and growing teams that focus on understanding Red Hat’s finance and sales operations and associated products and offerings 
• Help the team create language models that automate interactions between operational teams across Red Hat ranging from order management, account management, and product operations 
• Leverage your knowledge in statistics, operations research, and machine learning to build foundational frameworks to serve stakeholders in finance and sales operations, content, and product Grow and mentor other data scientists
• Support and champion the team in collaboration with other teams within Red Hat, ensuring that these efforts are as seamless as possible
• Participate in continuous learning and improving your knowledge of the business and your technical and business skills; remain up to date in changes in the industry

What you will bring:

Desired Skills/Experience:

• M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Operations Research, or other analytical fields preferred.
• At least 8 years of experience in an industry setting, with 3 years of management experience
• Proven ability to develop and execute business influenced technical strategy
• Demonstrated track record of successfully leading global teams and their development
• Demonstrated track record of delivering business analytical solutions with strong technical background.
• Develop solutions and build prototypes to solve business problems using machine learning, operations research, and statistical analysis
• Create impact by solving ambiguous problems and driving clarity
• Synthesize analytics and statistical approaches into easy-to-consume storylines, both visually and verbally, and provide actions for executive audiences
• Craft project roadmaps with business stakeholders and lead data science teams on execution
• Provide coaching and mentorship to the data scientists on your team
• Advanced knowledge of underlying mathematical foundations of statistics, machine learning, optimization, and analytics
• Experienced in Python and SQL
• Understanding of model deployment and CI/CD
• Experience in gradient boosted machines, operations research and optimization, and networks/graphs (Preferred)
• Proven ability in building relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across large organizations (Preferred)
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills (Preferred)
