Senior Consultant - Data Governance

Job Description:

• Overall experience of 6-9 years in Data Management role and more than 2 years of experience in Data Governance space
• Experience in Insurance industry is desired and familiarity with taxonomy from Insurance domain
• Experience in Data Modelling is a plus along with working knowledge of tool like Erwin.
• Relational database knowledge and SQL skills required along with proficiency in excel.
• Data analytics/ ML experience a plus
• High energy, good communication skills, self-starter
• Bi-lingual language skills is a plus.

Role:

• To work with business and operations users on translating the business and operations specific attribute definitions to a global standard.
• Support various O&T and business teams to ensure that all projects and systems adhere to published data governance standards.
• Work collaboratively with the Business, Data Governance and Data Management (Operations) teams to develop robust Global Enumerated value sets that covers all the geographies and various claims processing applications used by them.
• Work independently with identified country specific stakeholder to map critical data element with business definitions to technical fields coming from respective applications.
• Connect with various stakeholders to understand various use cases and associate the same to glossary list. This also includes sifting through feedback or document provided by stakeholders and absorbing the needed information in data glossary or data dictionary document.
• Understanding of information (e.g. sources, identifiers, standards, glossaries, and taxonomies) within the insurance industry data domain and different policies that are associated with the domain and data at large. 
• Understanding all procedural and technical aspects of the data management and data governance process
• Understanding of business and operations analytical use case management
• An interest in emerging technologies and knowledge of the InsurTech/FinTech landscape
• Familiarity with Informatica tools like EDC and AXON
• Familiarity with various analytical and business intelligence methods and tools
• Working knowledge of Agile and other SDLC methodologies, including producing user stories and participating in sprints and daily scrums; familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean principles
