Job Summary:

As an Engineering Program Manager, you will plan, lead, and manage engineering and cloud services operational programs. Working closely with our Cloud Volumes Service (CVS) Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, you drive program execution for cloud-based services to achieve positive outcomes in performance, availability, and security domains. This is a challenging position in a fast-paced environment, with the opportunity to work with distributed teams.

Essential Functions:

• Provide a leadership role for programmatic SRE operations.
• Provide input into roadmap planning and managing SRE resources for development and operations projects.
• Track and report programmatic KPI’s.
• Communicate status, key issues, and changes to executive leadership.
• Suggest and initiate process improvements as needed

• You will run a scrum-like team, scheduling and tacking work items and conducting sprint-like reviews.

• You are responsible for unstructured tasks and will need new perspectives and creative approaches.
• You will show initiative and good judgment in preventing problems and proposing solutions to identified issues.

Interaction:

• You must work effectively with Staff to Vice President-level personnel.
• You can manage workloads, set priorities, and drive results independently.
• You must work collaboratively with a distributed global team to meet aggressive goals, while responding to changing business and technical conditions.

Education:

• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience.
• Ideal candidate will have experience in data center systems or solutions.
• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Program management experience for production services.
• Familiarity with the Atlassian collaboration tools, including Jira and Confluence.
• PMP preferred
