Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain complex systems in cloud environments
- Automate software delivery and deployment pipelines
- Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows
- Collaborate with software development teams to ensure application scalability and availability
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, as well as implement preventive measures
- Ensure high levels of security and compliance with industry standards
- Continuously evaluate and improve systems and processes to ensure optimal performance
- Implement and maintain monitoring solutions that ensure optimal performance and uptime of systems
- Develop and implement incident response plans that minimize downtime and ensure business continuity
- Design and implement system and application migration strategies that minimize downtime and ensure data integrity
- Migrate systems and applications to cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related field
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and networking
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP (at least 3+ years of experience with GCP or AWS, GCP experience preferred)
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IAC) tools, such as Terraform and Ansible
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash or Perl (5+ years of experience with Python, Perl experience is a plus)
- Experience with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB (3+ years of experience with database systems)
- Experience with monitoring tools, such as Prometheus and Grafana (Experience with monitoring)
- Experience with incident response processes and procedures (Experience with incident response)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
