Job Description
Your Role and Responsibilities:
- As a Software Quality Engineer, your responsibilities would include designing and implementing automated tests for distributed storage systems, including Storage Area Networks (SAN), File Systems, and Object Storage Systems in a CI/CD, and DevOps environment on Linux. You would use Python programming language to write and execute tests and use tools for tracing and debugging to identify and fix issues.
- Your key responsibilities would include: Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test cases in a CI/CD environment on Linux
- Identifying and troubleshooting issues found during testing
- Collaborating with development and QE teams to ensure high-quality releases
- Communicating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Deploying and configuring test environments in cloud platforms AWS, IBM Cloud
- Maintaining Linux systems for test environments
- Constructing and scaling setups to test disaster recovery scenarios
- Mentoring and guiding team members on automated testing and best practices
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
- 3-8 years of relevant industry experience
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience with distributed storage systems and protocols (SAN, File Systems, Object Storage Systems)
- Experience with containerization [Dckers] and container orchestration [Kubernetes]
- Experience with cloud platforms and technologies
- Strong experience with Linux systems administration
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and automated testing tools
- Experience with Disaster recovery scenarios and testing
- Experience with debugging and tracing tools
- Experience with hardware and networking
- Strong presentation and oral communication skills
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in distributed storage systems and containerization
