Qualification:

• Experience in defining and implementing Disaster and Recovery (DR) strategies.
• Develop plan for DR implementation.
• Ability to provide different strategies like Active-Active, Active-Passive, etc.
• Should be able to capture and analyze Business Continuity needs.
• Experience in defining, implementing, and measuring RTO and RPO.
• Experience in defining multiple DR scenarios.
• Experience in defining and executing DR Test cases.
• Capable of designing hardware requirements for DR site.
• Ability to resolve networking/Security/server issues.
• Identify and analyze any gaps in the existing DR.
• Analyze and optimize workloads.
• Experience in Bigdata DR implementation is must (Hadoop, Data Lake, Data Warehouse is a must).
• Experience in private and public cloud preferably in Azure.
• Experience in Cloudera (CDH) or Databricks is preferable.

Role:

• Understand disaster recovery requirements for Cloudera and Databricks on Azure.
• Provide solution for DR.
• Suggest hardware for DR clusters.
• Propose various DR options.
• Setup security including IDP integration.
• Getting/Creating minimum access required in Cloud Providers for different users.
• Analyze and Minimize Cloud cost.
• Manage costs associated with compute resources.
• Optimize clusters for performance and cost.
• Optimize DR deployment for cost and recovery.
• Prepare document for defining DR strategy.
• Periodically test DR deployment
• Manage data reconciliation while failover/fallback.
