A fast-growing pharmaceutical organisation specialising in Critical Care therapeutics and others

The company has a strong presence in institutional and hospital segments and is expanding aggressively across South India.


Role Summary

The Zonal Business Manager (ZBM) will lead and drive business growth across South India for the Critical Care portfolio. The role involves managing a team of 20+ frontline sales professionals and delivering an annual business volume of 10 Crores+.

The position demands strong institutional sales exposure, leadership maturity, and deep understanding of injectable therapy markets in tertiary care hospitals.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Business & Revenue Leadership

  • Drive zonal sales to achieve and exceed 10 Cr+ annual targets.
  • Develop and implement zonal sales strategies aligned with national objectives.
  • Ensure strong coverage of corporate hospitals, government institutions, and key accounts.
  • Monitor sales performance, productivity, and growth metrics.


2. Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 20+ Sales Managers / Medical Representatives.
  • Conduct regular field visits and joint working.
  • Build high-performance culture focused on accountability and execution.
  • Recruit, train, and retain top talent across the zone.


3. Institutional & KOL Engagement

  • Develop strong relationships with:

Intensivists, Microbiologists, Anaesthetists, Hospital purchase departmentsPharmacy heads

  • Strengthen presence in infection management and critical care segments.
  • Identify tender opportunities and institutional contracts.


4. Market Strategy & Expansion

  • Analyze regional market trends, competitor activities, and pricing dynamics.
  • Launch new products effectively in the zone.
  • Identify high-growth districts and expansion opportunities.


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Graduate in Pharmacy / Life Sciences (MBA preferred).
  • 815 years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Minimum 35 years in ZSM / Regional Manager role handling Critical Care / Injectables.
  • Strong exposure to hospital / institutional sales.
  • Experience handling large field force (1525 team members).
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
