Job Description:

Role Overview:

The Workforce Solutions Analyst is responsible for analyzing workforce data and delivering actionable insights to support strategic and operational decision-making. This role leverages advanced analytical tools, including Power BI and Microsoft Excel, to develop interactive dashboards, automate reporting processes, and provide data-driven recommendations.

The role works closely with People & Culture, Operations, and other key stakeholders to ensure workforce analytics are accurate, timely, and aligned with business priorities.

The primary responsibilities of the Workforce Solutions Analyst include:

Key Relationships:

  • Deliver regular and ad hoc workforce reporting and analytics to support strategic initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and visualizations using Power BI to communicate workforce trends and insights.
  • Analyse workforce data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex workforce data into clear, compelling, and actionable insights.
  • Translate business questions into analytical requirements and deliver insights that drive decision-making.
  • Act as a Power BI Subject Matter Expert (SME) and support the adoption of self-service analytics.
  • Support enterprise workforce planning, forecasting, and modelling activities.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems, reports, and dashboards.
  • Monitor report usage and performance metrics and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Continuously improve dashboard design and functionality based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
  • Stay up to date with Power BI updates, new features, and best practices, and proactively introduce enhancements.

  • High School qualification required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an Analyst or similar role.
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
  • Understanding of local employment legislation, including Enterprise Agreements and Modern Awards (preferred but not essential; training will be provided).
  • Strong experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data modelling.
  • Intermediate Power BI skills, including dashboard development, DAX, and data transformation.
  • Intermediate PowerPoint skills for presenting insights to stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to perform trend analysis, forecasting, and scenario modelling.
  • Ability to translate business questions into analytical problems and deliver actionable insights.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to present complex data in a clear, concise, and meaningful way to support quick decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and ability to design intuitive, user-friendly dashboards.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Operations teams.
  • Skilled in gathering requirements and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Comfortable facilitating training sessions or workshops on Power BI and data literacy.
  • Highly analytical and detail oriented.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and continuous improvement focused.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
