Workday Platform Associate Engineer

About the Role:

The Workday Platform Engineer is responsible for building, supporting, and optimizing the technical backbone of our global HR ecosystem. You will design and support Workday integrations, ensure data integrity and platform reliability, and partner closely with HR Product Management, Functional Owners, People Operations, and IT Help Desk to deliver a stable, scalable, and secure Workday environment for associates worldwide.

What Youll Do:

• Develop, test, deploy, and support integrations using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, and REST/SOAP APIs
• Manage the full integration lifecycle including error handling, scheduling, monitoring, logging, and performance tuning
• Support Workday platform operations including tenant configuration migrations, release management activities, and data validations
• Troubleshoot technical issues within defined SLAs and drive root-cause analysis to reduce repeat incidents
• Maintain technical documentation, mapping schemas, and version history for integrations and platform components
• Partner with HR Product and functional Workday SMEs to deliver enhancements aligned to global business processes
• Collaborate with IT Help Desk and HR Ops to triage technical tickets and improve support handoffs across tiers
• Ensure security compliance and alignment with global data protection standards (GDPR, SOX, etc.)

What You Bring:

• 13+ years of Workday integration engineering experience in a global HR environment

Strong hands-on skills with:

• Workday Studio
• Core Connectors and EIBs
• Workday Web Services (REST/SOAP) and API authentication patterns
• Experience supporting platform operations for major Workday releases and tenant strategies
• Familiarity with ServiceNow (or similar ITSM tools) for incident and request handling
• Ability to translate functional needs into technical design with clear documentation
• Ownership mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
• Bonus: Git/version control, test automation, payroll vendor integrations (e.g., ADP EV6 and GlobalView)
