Workday Integration

• We are looking for an experienced Workday Integrations Engineer, passionate about building quality software and scaling technology to meet the needs of tomorrow.
• You will be part of HR Platforms team, developing applications and systems for our stakeholders.
• You will participate in the continuous development, improvement and support of our production and staging/QA environments.

Essential Job Functions:

• Serve as the subject matter expert on large collection of Workday Integrations.
• Lead the research, design, development, testing, and delivery of new Workday Integrations.
• Create detailed integration specifications, field mappings, and designs to support the entire integration development life-cycle.
• Research integration failures, perform root cause analyses, and report back to management and business leaders.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and objectives.
• Designing and developing custom integrations using Workday's integration tools such as Workday Studio, EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), Cloud Connect and Document Transformation leveraging web service technologies, SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML, XSLT.
• Configuring and maintaining Workday's core connectors for modules such as HCM & Payroll.
• Understand data flows and system usage between internal systems and Workday, driving alignment with other system owners.
• Design and Develop Integrations
• Build and maintain integrations between Workday and external systems using Workday technologies such as:
• Workday Studio
• Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
• Cloud Connectors
• Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs)
• Implement scalable, secure, and efficient solutions for HR, Payroll, Benefits, and other modules.
• Requirements Gathering and Analysis
• Collaborate with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to understand integration needs.
• Document technical specifications, data flows, and transformation rules.
• Testing and Deployment
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and validation of all integrations.
• Automate deployment processes and ensure production readiness.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting
• Monitor integration performance and resolve issues promptly.
• Implement robust error-handling and logging mechanisms for reliability.
• Security and Compliance
• Configure integration security, including authentication policies and X.509 certificates.
• Ensure compliance with organisational and regulatory standards.
• Documentation and Maintenance
• Maintain detailed technical documentation for integrations and processes.
• Update schedules and manage version control for ongoing enhancements

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.Tech/BE/master's degree in computer science, Engineering or in related field
• 1-3 years of experience building Workday Integrations.
• Experience building Workday custom reports and calculated fields.
• Experience integrating systems with third-party service vendors.
• Knowledge and experience of Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, PECI, Cloud Connectors, Document Transformation, and BIRT.
• Expertise in data transformation languages including XSLT, XTT/ETV.
• Familiarity with XML and JSON required.
• Familiarity with Integration security (ISU, PGP Key, MFA).
• Strong understanding of Workday SOAP and REST web service directories and related security domains.
• Strong understanding of Workday data architecture.
• Nice to have and opportunities to learn:
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate platform.
• Experience in Java/ Spring Framework/Sprint Boot/Hibernate.
• Experience with DevOps and tools like Azure DevOps

Technical Skills Required

• Programming Languages: Java, XML, XSLT, XPath, JavaScript.
• Integration Tools: Workday Studio, EIB, Reports-as-a-Service, REST/SOAP APIs.
• Other Skills: Agile methodologies, error handling, and performance optimisation.
