Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Workday Extend Consultant to design, develop, and deliver scalable solutions using Workday Extend. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Workdays platform capabilities, building custom applications, and integrating Extend solutions across Workday modules. This role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on development experience, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy custom applications using Workday Extend .
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and high-quality Extend solutions.
• Build user-friendly application interfaces using Workday components.
• Develop reusable frameworks, utilities, and best practices within Extend.
• Collaborate with Workday functional teams to ensure solutions align with platform standards.
• Integrate Extend applications with Workday Core modules (HCM, Payroll, Finance, etc.).
• Conduct testing (Unit, SIT, UAT) and support production rollouts.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement efficient fixes.
• Ensure governance, security, code quality, and data privacy standards are followed.
• Document technical designs, workflows, and deployment processes.
• Provide guidance and knowledge-sharing to junior team members.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in Workday Extend (design, build, deploy).
• Proficiency in Workday data structures, security, and integration frameworks .
• Solid understanding of Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, REST APIs .
• Experience with JSON, JavaScript, XPaths, and Workday API structures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in Agile environments.
• Ability to convert functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Workday HCM, Payroll, Finance, or Recruiting modules.
• Familiarity with Workday Prism Analytics.
• Exposure to Workday Reporting and BIRT.
• Cloud-based application development experience.

Education & Experience

• Minimum 12 years of overall IT experience , with significant hands-on expertise in Workday.
• Minimum 15 years of full-time education .
• Workday certification in Extend is a strong advantage.
