Workday Absence and Time tracking consultant

• Lead or support Workday support/implementation projects across Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll modules.

• Gather and analyze business requirements, design solutions, and configure Workday to meet client needs.

• Configure time entry codes, time calculation rules, eligibility criteria, absence plans, accruals, and payroll inputs.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Integrations) to ensure seamless data flow.

• Conduct unit testing, end-to-end testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Troubleshoot configuration issues and provide post-implementation support.

• Develop and maintain functional documentation, configuration workbooks, and process guides.

• Work closely with clients to provide expert guidance on best practices and process optimization.

• Support periodic Workday releases, regression testing, and enhancement requests.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Workday Absence Management, Time Tracking, and Payroll modules.

• End-to-end implementation experience in at least one of the mentioned modules (preferably more than one).

• Strong understanding of time calculation rules, accruals, time entry, and absence plans.

• Knowledge of payroll inputs, validations, and pay calculation logic within Workday.

• Experience with EIBs, reporting, and integration touchpoints with third-party payroll systems.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Workday Certification(s) in Absence, Time Tracking, or Payroll.

• Experience with global implementations or multi-country rollouts.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, HR, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
