Wordpress Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining high-performance WordPress websites. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with WordPress core, themes, plugins, and performance optimization, and be capable of delivering secure, scalable, and visually appealing websites. Mandatory requirements include prior experience working with a digital marketing agency and proven expertise in building and managing e-commerce websites (especially WooCommerce), with a strong understanding of SEO, conversions, and performance-driven development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites and landing pages
• Customize WordPress themes and plugins as per project requirements
• Convert UI/UX designs (Figma/PSD/XD) into responsive WordPress pages
• Develop custom plugins and functionalities when required
• Ensure website performance, security, and scalability
• Optimize websites for SEO, speed, and mobile responsiveness
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and tools
• Troubleshoot bugs, errors, and compatibility issues
• Perform regular updates, backups, and website maintenance
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and content teams
• Follow best coding practices and WordPress standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in WordPress CMS
• Hands-on experience with PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Experience with popular page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg, etc.)
• Solid understanding of custom post types, hooks, filters, and REST API
• Experience with WooCommerce customization (products, checkout, payments)
• Knowledge of website security, caching, and performance optimization
• Familiarity with SEO best practices
• Experience working with MySQL databases
• Version control experience (Git preferred)
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
• Knowledge of React or Gutenberg block development
• Experience with hosting platforms (Hostinger, cPanel, AWS, etc.)
• Understanding of UI/UX principles
• Basic knowledge of Google Analytics and Search Console

Experience

• Minimum 24 years of experience as a WordPress Developer in a digital marketing agency
• Proven portfolio of WordPress websites or live projects
