Title: Wire Harness Design Engineer
Location: Hyderabad, India
Job Summary:
Seeking a Wire Harness Design Engineer with hands-on experience in electrical harness design for heavy/off-highway or automotive systems. The role involves design, routing, drawing creation, and manufacturing support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop wire harnesses and routing layouts
- Create 2D/3D drawings, BOMs, and installation documentation
- Interpret electrical schematics and system diagrams
- Ensure designs meet engineering and industry standards
- Support design reviews, engineering changes, and production builds
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or related field
- 38 years of wire harness design experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Knowledge of connectors, terminals, splices, and routing practices
- Experience with manufacturing drawings and BOMs
Preferred:
- Experience in heavy equipment or automotive projects
- Exposure to PLM tools (Teamcenter/Windchill)
