Must-Have
need a strong understanding of operating systems (like Windows or Linux), network management skills, proficiency in server hardware, ability to troubleshoot technical issues, knowledge of security best practices, scripting or programming skills, and experience with system administration tools to maintain and configure servers effectively; a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is often preferred. 
Key points:
Operating System Expertise: Deep knowledge of at least one major operating system (Windows, Linux) 
Network Management: Understanding of network protocols and configurations to manage server connectivity 
Server Hardware Knowledge: Familiarity with server hardware components and troubleshooting hardware issues 
Security Practices: Implementation and maintenance of security measures to protect server data 
Troubleshooting Skills: Diagnosing and resolving complex server issues.
Backup and Recovery: Expertise in backup procedures and disaster recovery strategies.
System Administration Tools: Proficiency with tools for managing user accounts, permissions, and system configurations
