Job Description
1. Windows Server/AD/DC patching, VMware, Failover cluster, AD, DNS, DHCP 2. Disc adds, Storage adds etc; Hardware Knowledge, Migration experience on P2V, storage. 3. Microsoft server side support tickets through ticket queue system that have gone through our Help Desk support 1-3 tiers. 4. Support and administration of Microsoft Windows Server, versions 2000, 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019 and 2022 5. Support and administration of Microsoft Active Directory environments, DNS, DHCP Support and administration of Microsoft Server Clustering. Migration knowledge for P2V, Storage etc 6. Troubleshooting and maintenance of all above mentioned Microsoft Enterprise level products 7. Knowledge and troubleshooting capability with multiple high availability solutions 8. Continuous proactive maintenance, auditing, and monitoring of our customers Microsoft environments 9. Following thorough Change Management processes and documentation 10. Following thorough Root Cause Analysis processes and documentation 11. After hours oncall weekly rotations throughout the team 12. Business hours ticket queue owner and handling weekly rotation 13. Working with other infrastructure teams as well as non-infrastructure teams throughout organization on tasks Implementing server hardening/security best practices 14. Server performance/capacity planning 15. Troubleshooting supported end user application server issues and responsible for maintaining supported customer applications that may require modifications to work in a client server environment . 16. Responsible for all tuning, monitoring and performance recommendations of the Microsoft systems 17. Provides recommendations on changes and design enhancements to improve reliability, security, processes, and performance. 18. Takes responsibility for meeting commitments; desire to succeed and has a history of meeting solutions by deadline. 19. Builds respectful relationships with team members; consistently acknowledges and appreciates each member's contributions. 20. Provides quality customer service and ensures an understanding between customers and helps provide workable solutions. 21. Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members. 22. Mitigates team conflict and communication problems; provides information that insures interest and understanding. 23. Promotes innovation, creativity, and effectiveness, always striving for continuous improvement. 24. Grows professionally and personally and eager to acquire new knowledge. 25.Develop and implement strategic plans for Hyper-V infrastructure including capacity planning, upgrades and migrations. 26.Design and implement complex Hyper-V architectures, including clustering, high availability , and disaster recovery solutions . 27. Optimize and fine-tune Hyper-V performance, resource allocation and configuration to meet business requirements. a. Design, implement, and manage VMware vSphere environments. 2. Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolve complex VMware issues. a. Plan and execute VMware upgrades and migrations. b. Reviewing VMWare ESXi server performance c. Verifying VMWare ESXi server configuration d. Configuring VMWare ESXi for High Availability e. System security: Develop policies, procedures, and controls to secure the system f. Perform planning activities for the VxRail solution to be implemented and Support of VxRail g. System changes: Validate changes on the server, virtualization, and messaging platform by studying plans and requirements h. Disaster recovery planning: Work on disaster recovery planning, including handling disaster recovery policies and restoring databases i. Installs new applications and helps configure them including web servers, OS, and infrastructure components. j. Responsible for trouble-shooting customer VMware ESXi Infrastructure issues k. Design and implement tools and solutions for business continuity & disaster management. l. Oversee 2nd and 3rd level Infrastructure operations support on a 24x7 basis, with on-call support during off-hours for initial response to disruptions, outages and incidents. m. Implement ITSM and ITSM procedures with a focus on Incident Management, RCA/Problem Management, Change Management, Event Management, SLAs, production support, standards, and best practices for the technology organization. n. Work with peer Infrastructure and other IT Department Managers to provide input and strategic road map for Data Centre technical platforms. 1.
