Job Description:

Preferred Location: Hyderabad

Experience Range: 6-8 years of hands-on experience with Windows Server and VMware administration.

The Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our Windows and VMware environments. This role requires an in-depth understanding of Windows Server administration, virtualization technologies, and a proactive approach to system improvements and problem-solving.

Windows Server Administration:

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server 2016/2019 environments.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other core Windows services.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize server operations.

VMware Administration:

• Install, configure, and manage VMware vSphere environments.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks such as VM provisioning, cloning, snapshots, and migrations.
• Monitor virtual machine performance and resource allocation.
• Implement and manage VMware backup solutions and disaster recovery plans.

System Monitoring and Maintenance:

• Utilize monitoring tools to ensure the health and performance of servers and virtual machines.
• Perform routine maintenance and proactive management to ensure high availability and performance.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and maintain security best practices across Windows and VMware environments.
• Ensure systems are compliant with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.

Support and Troubleshooting:

• Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated technical issues.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex infrastructure problems.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed.
