- 5 - 7 years of experience in Windows Server Administration (all available versions)
- As this is for a L2 requirement, candidate should have strong skills in architecture, design, installation, configuration, administration.
- Troubleshooting of all areas of Windows Server including high availability, failover Cluster configuration, replication, disaster recovery, patching, backup & recovery, performance tuning, optimizing, and securing Windows Servers in a large environment.
- Experience in automating Windows Server deployments, admin tasks and ability to create scripts (PowerShell) for managing and maintaining Windows Servers as per requirements.
- Experience in Upgrading and Migration of Windows Servers
- Good understanding of Active Directory architecture, AD deployment, group policies and AD administration
- Excellent VMware troubleshooting skills. Should be able to resolve any issue related to VMware independently.
- Experience in ESXi upgrades, patching, troubleshooting.
- Experience in VM deployments, admin tasks, managing and maintaining Windows Servers in Azure
- Should have experience in Vulnerability remediation, Crowd Strike & Tenable installation, and troubleshooting.
- Good experience in handling outages with respective teams and drive the bridge call.
- Should have experience in physical server hardware's like Dell, Cisco, HPE
- Good experience on vendor alignment part (raising cases with respective vendors and getting RCA)
- Knowledge on Azure Resources including Resources Groups, Virtual machine built, Azure site recovery, DR Activities and also on mount shares to the VM's
- Should have ability to perform troubleshooting on Azure VMs both server level and portal level and raise vendor case if necessary.
- Experience in setting up alert monitoring considering the monitoring tools deployed in the environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills. Should be able to resolve any issue related to Windows independently. Should be able to quickly isolate the problem and provide resolution in order to meet the SLAs.
- Excellent documentation skills. Should have prior experience in creating design documents, SOPs etc.
- Should have ability and prior experience in analyzing existing deployments and propose & implement improvements.
- Should have experience in managing projects such as new deployments, migrations, upgrades etc. with ability to plan and track & lead the projects for closure.
- Flexible to work in 24x7 operations (working in shifts, on-call support etc.)
- Should have excellent communication and presentation skills as the candidate needs to work with Architects, Service Owners, Business Leaders and other technical teams.
- Should be a team player and have ability to train L2 and L1 resources.
- Good understanding of ITIL processes Incident, Problem, Configuration and Change Management
- Flexible to learn other technologies as per project requirements.
