Job Description
Position: Wifi/ Easy Mesh Developer
Experience- 4-12 years
Location- Chennai, Bangalore, Trivandrum
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on development in WiFi/WLAN on embedded Linux.
- Strong command of 802.11 standards, MAC layer, and WiFi security (WPA2/WPA3).
- Proficiency in C/C++ on embedded Linux; experience with kernel modules, drivers, and networking stacks.
- Practical experience with hostapd, wpa_supplicant, nl80211/mac80211, netlink, and wireless extensions.
- Experience implementing or integrating EasyMesh (WFA MultiAP)controller/agent features, topology management, and interoperability.
- Familiarity with networking protocols: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, IPv4/IPv6, NAT, VLAN, QoS.
- Strong debugging skills with gdb, strace, tcpdump, Wireshark, log analysis, and RF tools.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to OpenWrt, prplOS, RDK-B, Buildroot, or Yocto-based systems.
- Hands-on with Qualcomm QSDK, Broadcom/MediaTek SDKs and vendor WiFi tools.
- Knowledge of Mesh techniques: SON, band/ client steering, multiAP coordination, backhaul selection, channel planning.
- Experience with telemetry/analytics, TR069 / TR369 (USP), cloud-managed WiFi.
- Scripting in Python/Shell/Lua; CI/CD (Jenkins/GitLab/Gerrit).
- Understanding of WiFi 6/6E features: OFDMA, MUMIMO, BSS Coloring, Target Wake Time (TWT).
- Experience with performance benchmarking and automation frameworks.
