The Website Technical Lead is responsible for all Alkegens website platforms and associated infrastructure with accountability for website performance, analytics, SEO, and CRM integration of web leads. This role combines strong technical website leadership working with the broader marketing team on strategy and execution, acting as the primary interface between IT, third party developers, Microsoft Dynamics/ CRM specialists.
The role owns the website core digital infrastructure and lead generation mechanics, ensuring it is secure, scalable, search-optimized, and fully integrated with Microsoft Dynamics 365 to support lead capture, nurturing, and sales-qualified lead generation.
This role functions as the responsible for the intersection of website infrastructure, SEO performance, analytics, and Microsoft Dynamics integration, ensuring Alkegens digital ecosystem drives brand impact, qualified demand, and measurable commercial outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
Web Platform Ownership & Technical Governance
- Act as the Alkegen platform owner for all global websites, working closely with our development partner agency and the marketing team, with accountability for uptime, performance, security, scalability, and governance.
- Lead day-to-day technical operations across CMS platforms (WordPress essential), hosting environments, deployment processes, and release cycles.
- Partner closely with internal IT, external development agencies, and marketing operations to resolve incidents and deliver platform improvements.
Website Architecture & Infrastructure Strategy
- Work with the Marketing Team to define a scalable site architecture, navigation frameworks, and page templates aligned to SEO, conversion, and long-term content growth.
- Optimise Core Web Vitals, accessibility, and performance metrics in collaboration with developer partners and IT.
SEO Ownership & Search Architecture
- Working with the broader Marketing Team drive non-branded organic growth through technical SEO, information architecture, internal linking strategies, and search-led content frameworks.
- Embed SEO best practices into CMS templates, page structures, campaign landing pages, and content workflows.
- Maintain SEO tooling, audits, and prioritised backlogs aligned to commercial and pipeline objectives.
Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Work with the Marketing team on CRM integration, ensuring seamless data flow between website, marketing automation, and sales systems.
- Own website-to-Dynamics lead capture architecture, including forms, progressive profiling, consent management, and data validation.
- Define and manage tracking frameworks (UTMs, pixels, events) to ensure accurate lead attribution, campaign performance analysis, and funnel visibility within Dynamics.
- Partner with marketing operations and sales teams to ensure clean handoff of marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) to sales-qualified leads (SQLs).
Content Infrastructure & Lifecycle Management
- Maintain website SEO performance and Google ranking optimization by regularly performing website content maintenance to strengthen search result performance
Analytics & Performance Reporting
- Own analytics architecture across web, Dynamics, and marketing platforms, including GA4 configuration, tagging governance (GTM), and CRM reporting alignment.
- Deliver robust monthly performance reporting covering web traffic, SEO performance, conversion, attribution, and pipeline contribution via Dynamics.
- Translate data into actionable insights and prioritised optimisation actions across website and SEO.
Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) & UX
- Lead CRO initiatives across key journeys and landing pages, leveraging behavioural data, A/B testing, and CRM insights.
- Optimize form performance, friction points, and conversion paths to improve MQL and SQL quality.
- Collaborate with design teams on wireframes, user flows, and mock-ups to ensure UX decisions support defined outcomes.
Cross-Functional website support
- Support integrated campaign delivery by advising on landing page strategy, tracking frameworks, and post-campaign performance analysis.
- Partner with social and content teams to ensure website experiences reinforce messaging and enable deeper engagement and lead capture.
Qualifications & Experience
- 6+ years experience in digital marketing with demonstrable technical website and platform ownership responsibility.
- Proven experience integrating enterprise websites with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM and/or Marketing).
- Experience with multinational B2B organizations a plus
- Advanced hands-on extensive experience with WordPress
- HTML proficient, CSS and Java script experience a plus
- Experience working with Rank Math or similar SEO tools
- Strong expertise in GA4, web analytics, attribution models, and performance reporting.
- Deep understanding of SEO strategy, technical SEO, and search-led site architecture.
- Experience working with wireframes creating engaging user journeys.
- Excellent stakeholder management, documentation, and project leadership skills.
- Bachelors degree in web development, Computer Science, Marketing, or equivalent practical experience.
