Web Developer

We are looking for a skilled Web Developer to join our fast-growing e-commerce team. You will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining our online storefronts to ensure a seamless shopping experience. This role requires strong coding abilities, attention to detail, and a passion for building high-performance e-commerce websites.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development & Maintenance

• Develop, test, and deploy new features for the e-commerce website.
• Maintain and enhance existing web pages, landing pages, and product detail pages.
• Optimize website performance, loading speed, and responsiveness.

E-commerce Platform Management

• Work with platforms such as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or custom-built systems.
• Integrate third-party tools (payment gateways, shipping APIs, CRM, ERP, marketing tools, etc.).
• Manage product catalog functionality, filters, search, and navigation improvements.

Technical Implementation

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks.
• Build and maintain backend functionality using Node.js, PHP, Python, or other server-side technologies.
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.

UX/UI Collaboration

• Work closely with designers to translate UI/UX concepts into functional web pages.
• Implement A/B tests, improve conversion rates, and optimize user journey flows.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure website security, data protection, and adherence to industry best practices.
• Monitor site health, uptime, and troubleshoot issues in real time.

Analytics & SEO

• Implement SEO best practices (structured data, meta tags, site structure, etc.).
• Configure tracking (Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Meta Pixel).
• Work with marketing teams to support campaigns, promotions, and new feature rollouts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred).
• 23 years of experience as a Web Developer, preferably in e-commerce.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), jQuery, Bootstrap.
• Experience with React, Vue, or Angular (nice to have).
• Strong backend knowledge in Node.js, PHP, Python, or Java.
• Familiarity with Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, or custom e-commerce systems.
• Understanding of APIs, RESTful services, and JSON.
• Experience working with databases (MySQL, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of SEO principles and performance optimization.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
• Experience with headless e-commerce or Shopify Hydrogen is a plus.

• Clear communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and ownership mindset.
