Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Wealth Advisor at PrimeInvestor based in Chennai. The Wealth Advisor will work closely with clients to provide personalized financial advice, develop and implement well-structured financial plans, and offer specialized services in wealth management, investment strategies, and retirement planning. Day-to-day tasks may include assessing client financial needs, creating tailored portfolios, conducting market research to identify optimal investment opportunities, and maintaining long-term relationships with clients to drive their financial success.


Key Responsibilities

Client Acquisition & Onboarding

Reach out to and set up virtual meetings with qualified HNI leads

Conduct comprehensive discovery calls with clients to understand investment

objectives, risk tolerance, investment horizon, and financial goals

Present and explain PrimeInvestor's PMS strategies and their fit to the investor

Analyze their existing investment portfolios and recommend optimal PMS strategy

and thus convert leads into clients

Guide them through the complete onboarding process, ensuring seamless account

setup and documentation

Coordinate with operations team for KYC completion, account opening, and other

activities needed for regulatory requirements on client onboarding

Business Development & Retention

Identify opportunities for additional investments from existing clients based on their

financial capacity and goals

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for new client acquisition and AUM

growth

Business Development & Retention

Generate referrals through exceptional client service and relationship building

Maintain detailed client interaction records and relationship mapping in CRM

system

Ongoing Client Advisory & Relationship Management

Monitor portfolio performance metrics for assigned client portfolios

Conduct regular portfolio review calls (quarterly/semi-annually) and provide

strategic investment insights and address client queries

Maintain regular communication through scheduled calls, emails, and face-to-face

meetings and also provide personalized advice based on changing client

circumstances and market conditions

Facilitate interactions between high-value clients and portfolio managers when

required

Operational Support & Client Service

Assist clients with operational processes including additional investments,

redemptions, systematic withdrawals, and account modifications

Ensure timely resolution of client grievances and manage escalations effectively

Coordinate with back-office teams for smooth execution of client requests

Provide handholding support throughout the client lifecycle

Market Intelligence & Professional Development

Stay updated on market developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends

Maintain current knowledge of PrimeInvestor's PMS strategies, performance

updates, and product enhancements

Provide client feedback to portfolio managers for strategy refinement

Attend regular training sessions and product briefings

Required Qualifications, Education & Experience

Bachelor or post-graduate degree in any discipline (Finance, Economics,

Commerce, or MBA preferred)

3-5 years of proven experience in sales/advisory roles within wealth management,

mutual funds, equities, or PMS

Must have cleared NISM V-A certification. Additional preferred qualifications:

NISM-Series-X-A (Level 1), NISM-Series-X-B (Level 2), or CFP

Skills & Competencies


Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

(mandatory)

Languages: Working knowledge of Hindi and at least one regional language

preferred

Technical: Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and

portfolio management concepts

Technology: Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office Suite (especially Excel and

PowerPoint), and digital communication tools

Relationship Management: Proven track record in HNI client relationship building

and retention

Advisory Skills: Experience in financial planning, investment advisory, and

achieving business targets

Personal Attributes

Client-centric mindset with high ethical standards and professional

Ability to build trust and rapport with high-net-worth individuals

Results-oriented with a track record of meeting acquisition and retention targets.
